Fintan Gaffney

Mr. Gaffney has over 36 years of experience in the construction materials testing and inspection industry. He is responsible for coordinating administrative and technical operations of the materials testing and inspection department for major projects in both public and private arenas. He also leads NOVA staff by providing technical guidance to field and laboratory personnel. Mr. Gaffney oversees field observation, testing and inspection of reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, asphaltic concrete, structural masonry, structural steel welding, high-strength bolting, spray-applied fireproofing, and other building materials. He supervises laboratory testing of soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt, steel, and other building materials; analyzes and reviews field and laboratory data; and authors and reviews materials testing and inspection reports.
